Hi there!
I'm Kit~
I am the founder, lead photographer, and editor of Shutter Magic Creative Studio. I went to Western Washington University, graduating with degrees in both music and English. From there, I moved to Seattle and found myself working in the corporate business world, which wasn't for me. On a whim, I moved down to LA and began immediately working on shows such as The Great Food Truck Race and Leah Remini's Scientology and the Aftermath as a production, audio, and camera assistant.
I was born and raised in Washington, however, so when the opportunity to do a shoot up here became available, I snagged it. Little did I know that it would result in my leaving the hustle and bustle of LA for the taste of the mountains, mist, and ultimately, home. Now I'm breaking back out, ready to capture your most precious moments in 4K.
My wife (and camera assistant) was previously a certified Behavioral Therapist for Autistic and disabled children and is always present on shoots with me. Our aim is to provide these services to those who are severely underserved and disquieted with the current climate. We absolutely welcome (and encourage) LGBTQ and Disabled individuals, so please do not let that be a deterrent for getting your precious memories captured!
I am a non-binary, trans-masculine person and will always don a traditional kilt to your formal events. Please ask me anything about my Scottish Heritage OR D&D.
We will get along great! Hope to hear from you soon!
